I attended my first conference ever yesterday, the very exciting Medical Library Association annual meeting, held this year at the Washington State Convention Center in my new hometown of Seattle! Though I’m a sucker for odd events like this, I found that one of the cooler parts of this convention was the ridiculous amounts of useless swag readily available for everyone to grab.
*DISCLAIMER: I am by no means saying that these items are cool or particularly swagger-ific, but as a future hoarder and collector of useless items, I am indeed excited about my loot. Yes, I know this makes me less cool. Trust me, I know.*
Here are a couple of items I picked up. Be jealous. Or don’t be, doesn’t matter.
H2Go water bottle from the National Library of Medicine. I will DEFINITELY be using this on my next hiking trip!
Though this is intended to be a phone stand, I’ve peeled off the material and put it on the dashboard of my car to put my phone when using the GPS. Thanks Elsevier!
2 USB flash drives from parent company, ProQuest.
Some pins to give to the dataheads at the office.
A new Vessel water bottle, which is PERFECT cause I broke the lid off of my old one!
Stress ball from ProQuest.
Useless collapsible shopping bag by the Rockefeller University Press.
